Description
Hand signed, 8 by 10 photo of Nebraska native and Husker I Back Tough Tony Davis. Tony was a Tecumseh boy who had absolutely no fear of a collision. His speed and shiftiness helped him avoid enough head-on collisions to be a take-it-to-the-house threat. He became coach Osborne's first 1,000 yard rusher, was game MVP in NU's 1974 Cotton Bowl win over Texas and in the following season's Sugar Bowl win over Florida. He was NU's all-time leading rusher when he graduated. Tony went on to play running back in the NFL for several years through the late 1970's and into the 80's. A true home-grown Husker Hero, and a proud representative of the never-say-die attitude and toughness for which the Huskers came to be nationally respected.
